Sydney Market Commentary September 24

There was certainly more activity at open homes at the weekend with new buyers hitting the market for Spring. While Auction clearance rates were still down at around the mid 50% mark there were a few recorded stand out Auctions across Sydney selling well above reserve with plenty of active bidding.

8 Exeter Road, Wahroonga was marketed with a price guide of $950,000 advertised by David Walker from Ray White Upper North Shore, with 10 registered bidders this property sold for a massive $1,300,000.

There were others selling more than $500,000 above reserve in Bellevue Hill and a few hundred over in Lane Cove.

There were originally 732 Auctions scheduled to go up with 388 reported to have taken place and 279 sold under the hammer.

The Clearance rate was around 55% with a median sale price of $1,300,000 which is massive.
