Another week above 80%.
The Sydney auction clearance rate at the weekend was up again at 81% with 800 properties originally scheduled to go up for auction.
There were 562 auctions reported to have taken place with 479 selling under the hammer and 27 properties withdrawn for whatever reason.
The Upper North Shore reported a slightly higher Auction clearance rate at 85.9%.
Compared to March last year, where the auction clearance rate was in the high 60’s and up to around 70%, this March we saw clearance rates hovering up around 80% for the most part of the month. This trend is showing no signs of slowing yet.
The Easter long-weekend may see a lower level of auctions scheduled and a subsequent lower clearance rate however, expectations are for a big weekend this weekend and the weeks following Easter.
