There was certainly no negativity surrounding the weather and it’s impact on the market at the weekend, unless maybe the heat was too much. But I feel like on a whole, the sunshine after the rain was a welcome weather shift for punters at the weekend.
Auction results were still strong at 80% which still holds us in the top end of the range for the year.
The interesting thing is that the median price was $1,227,750 which is high but for the last few weeks it has been the peppering of $3M sales in the cleared property I would have attributed this too. However, at the weekend we were slightly lower than past weeks even with a sale being recorded at $10,850,000 in Bellevue Hill .
Results for the Upper North Shore seemed strong too with, from a preliminary glance, the majority of property selling across the area.
There were 760 properties originally scheduled for Auction across Sydney with 507 reported to have taken place and 436 recorded as sold. There were 35 withdrawn for whatever reason.
