Real Estate Market Commentary 5TH NOVEMBER

Spring has no arrived, albeit late, the sunny weather seemed to force the buyers out in numbers to open homes across the Upper North Shore at the weekend. This new influx of buyers is timely with Auction numbers starting to spike, Sydney had 831 properties listed for Auction at the weekend.
We are certainly in the rundown to Christmas though as the final Auction campaigns of the year, for most agencies, start this weekend.

Of the 831 properties scheduled for Auction 595 were reported to have taken place and 500 sold under the hammer. There were 54 withdrawn for whatever reason.

Once again, the big news is the median sale price of property sold which is at record highs at $1,337,000.
However, it is no surprise given the greater amount of property selling at or above $3,000,000 at Auctions over the weekend, which is becoming a trend it would seem.

Clearance rates were 77%.
