The weekend was a typical example of a long-weekend in Real Estate, lesser amounts of property taken to Auction and slightly lower clearance rates of property that was.
However, there was still 284 properties listed to go to Auction with 182 going up and 143 selling under the hammer.
There were 21 properties withdrawn for whatever reason.
Of the property sold, the median was still above $1M at $1,035,000. This is lower than we have seen for some time but may be solely due to the fact there was a lower level of property Auctioned. It may have also been that less ‘expensive’ property went to Auction with a lot of people travelling for the long weekend.
The Clearance rate was 70% – is it Winter yet?
